Hi Lauren, what a beautiful orchid! Nicely handled in color and sharpness.
If I were to do anything with this image it would be to allow the larger star orchid be the star with only some of the foliage around it. It's lovely the way it is and this was jut a thought |

Yes definitely a fun image. It looks like the flower arrangement came to life and had a lot to say! |

It definitely is a unique perspective of the Duomo. It gives me the feeling of being in Italy with the narrow streets and crowded buildings. I can even hear the din of the crowd and the cars and trucks. Nice work! |

Hi Peter. Your image is beautiful and well handled. I like the colors and the water finishes the tranquil mood. If I were to do anything to this image it might be cropping down the top of the image so that only the bottom 3 tiers were visible and keep it flipped as Peter had done. I'm a believer that sometimes less is more and it keeps your eye on the main subject of color/lines and movement. Just a thought. |

Interesting! It keeps me engaged with my eye looking at all the different parts. If you find out what kind of tool it is let us know.
I agree with the straw staying in, it adds another bit of interest |

Hello Karl and thank you for that info. thank you for your comments. I believe your observation is probably better than mine!
I initially thought that what I was seeing was a refraction from the bright moon until I started investigating a little deeper. I actually was going in to clone it out. it was in checking out what it could be that I was given info that said it was saturn.
I am happy to go along with what you know to be accurate. No matter what I at least got a great image |

Hi Lauren! I took a look back to see if I was missing something and what it was is the moon was lower in the original image and saturn (unknowing to us) was above the moon enough that it either wasn't visible at that point or I was shooting lower to get the reflection/moon/lake in thee |

Hi Lauren, I didn't insert it. See the comment above. I thought it needed to be cloned out until we realized it was part of the scene. Things we did not expect!

Thank you Lauren,
I don't know about the echo. In fact when I first noticed it I was going to clone it out as it could have been a refraction from the moon (what do I know? I'm not an astronomer either) So I called my husband in to take a look and he is great with research, yes that is what it was and it came with Saturn's ring. |
