Nicely done on the corrections. I'm intrigued by the covered bridges from an architectural standpoint. So few actually left standing.Always a great photo op. |

Nothing better for HDR than the rusting and rotting. lol. Have you seen the new tool on the PS upgrade for "distraction removal"? I haven't tried it yet, but apparently it addresses wires and spare tree branches. This is good news. I still spend a lot of my time removing high tension lines and wires from a lot of the drone images I shoot for clients. I'm all for tools to make life simple. ;) |

Nice image Rick. What I like most about these posts in the category is learning what other software is out there for me to explore. I've never heard of Aurora, but will search it out. |

Hi Brad. You piqued my interest on the luminosity mask. So much to learn and remember with PS. I've never used LR to post photos. Love the image. I wish it was better centered to capitalize on the obvious lovely symmetry happening here. |

Tremendous shot, Ray. 90% of a good photo is being there when it happens. A few years back I was driving back at night from a photo club meeting with a friend. I remember passing a small pond that was packed full of high cattail weeds. There was a very small opening, an inlet close to the road. As we passed by I noticed that the full moon was reflecting back into the inlet. It was beautiful. A mile down the road my buddy says, did you see that moon back there? I said I did. Neither of us had our camera along. Missed opportunity that stuck in my head. Like the credit card company says, "don't leave home without it." But I ramble. Well done, sir. Only critique is that I would have lightened the center of the shot a little to pull out the sun and the reflected water. |

I think that rather than going for a blackout look I would have lightened some of the out of focus lighter areas. Also, I think it would have benefited with a little more contrast in the leaves and flowers. It looks a little flat. I think it would have helped the background you chose. |

Hi Allison and welcome to the group. Nicely done, especially the description on your process.I'm actually OK with the stem. My eye is drawn to the flower and composition. Good job on removing the leaves and keeping the bloom in a black out background.Looking forward to seeing more of your work. |

I've been freezing flowers for nearly a decade now. And while I've perfected this to a point where some results are predictable, there's a part that is simply left to chance. The angle of the light obviously plays a role in highlighting the frozen bubbles, but like most things, what adds detail in one area can affect another adversely. Thanks for the comment Vincent. |

Thanks Murphy. I do see your point. Like most of my ice photos I shoot several angles. I did consider cloning that tiny bit of green. |
