Thank you all for your kind words.
As I write quite often I encourage you to please become au fait with focus stacking in photography and the results will follow.
To familiarise yourselves with this system there is plenty of information available on the internet, and again if I am able to help, please do not hesitate to ask. |

Hi Wanda,
Thank you for your comment.
In answer to your question my camera is set on 15 frames at a differential of 4.
Do I need this many shots? Possibly no however my camera is set at this number for convenience which I prefer rather than adjusting this number each time. |

Hi Charissa,
A Beautiful image. Colours are spot on and good detail. Is the stipule at base a distraction? If it is causing you concern just remove it.
You ask for suggestions to improve your work - may I please make the following for you to consider ( and again this is only my opinion)
1. I am not sure if F32 is the right aperture. The "best" aperture on a lens is 2 to 3 stops above the lowest number ie. if your lens has a F2.8 then consider using F4 or F5.6 Using F32 the softness appears.
2.Also if the shutter speed is too slow then double your ISO - this will double your shutter speed and also opening your aperture will also increase shutter speed. There is a lot of material on the internet on this subject.
3. Also remember when you are photographing flowers in a garden the slightest zephyr of a breeze will cause movement so you need a faster shutter speed.
4. Rather than using a black background would you consider using the flower/garden background and darken same. It looks more natural than a stark black.
5 I am always on this subject of focus stacking and I urge you to look at this method. |

Hi Bev,
In all honesty in my view the texture you have chosen is not a really good fit for this image in its colour. In looking at the original image I can see that the some of the flowers on the frame are detailed whereas in your above image there is little detail. In cutting out the leaves you have left some of the base, which in my view, stands out. |

Hi Pinaki,
Great subject and well taken. Well done. You have achieved what you set out to do.
Would you consider tightening up of the frame and also be conscious of what appears to be dust spots in the sky? |

Hi Fred,
Beautifully captured and great detail. Well done.
May I make two suggestions?
1. Remove the fly on bottom left hand petal. and
2. Would you be able to leave a wider space on top of flower and edge of frame?
