Jerry ... Love the detail of the bird which I know is not easy for white birds. Not sure how you would increase the area for the bird to look in on the left without removing the prominent branch residing there. Hence I have no problem with a "portrait" being centered and well balanced as you have done. Overall nicely captured and processed. |

Bruce ... YES a great action capture with good panning technique too. I love these birds for we have tens of thousands during the migration somewhat near my home (110 miles). |

Jerry ... Thanks for your comments ... I did attached a bit warmer version in my reply to Cindy. I like it as a square too ... which would eliminate the some of the dark hole but then again showing the whole hole gives me a more sense of place. |

Adrian ... Thanks for your comments. I too like a square for these type of portraits but I just thought showing more gave more of a sense of place/location. Note I will provide a more warmer version in my responses to Cindy. |
