Cindy,FYI, I tried to light up eye a bit and put a catch light there ... but I was not capable of doing it so it looked natural, apparently I need to work on my LR-PS masking skills. Thanks for your efforts.

Considering you had a very busy original capture, you did a nice job with your cropping to highlight the single bird action. The other capture is nice for showing the action from a broader perspective of the scene. |

Jerry, yes a very nice moment captured. The only thing I would try to reduce the "whites" a bit but not much. However it is very nice as it is now. |

Yes a very stunning bird and you captured the details/color of it. For me you have enough detail and not bothered by the tail feathers out of focus. Perhaps cropping in from the right a bit to get that short bight weed out of the photo. I have taken recently to begin shooting wide open (landscapes) which gives a much different look (I like it) than all in focus landscape. However do not have f2.8/f4 long lens to get the same effects for birds. |

Nice capture of the bird in it's environment and good Jobe of processing too. As mentioned it is great if one can do that and have a feeling of "action" too. However it does requires lots of patience and stamina to hold focus with a big lens to capture that moment. |

Cindy ... my intent is not create a controversy but I like how you processed it. Lighting up the birds is very tricky and I think what you did looks naturally good. A great capture too. |
