Thanks Bruce for your time and suggestions. I will work the background a bit more as suggested by you and the others. :) |

Jerry, yes it was hand held. I am very happy with IBIS in the latest Fuji camera body and lens. I do not know what the plant is behind but I love the color it rendered in its last stage of life. I will give it a go working the background a bit more. Thanks |

Side lighting does make it difficult to bring out details on the shady size. I would make a virtual copy and play with bringing out the details in the dark areas but not so much as does not look natural.
Good capture on bird in flight coming at you. |

For me it is most difficult to capture birds in flight coming at me ... but you did a nice job of it. Processing the image with a busy background is challenge indeed. Hence it is a personal choice so go with what you like. I found it be pleasant. |

Nice capture ... sure it would have been nice if in a more pleasing environment ... but hey you did a nice job with what was available. Perhaps a tighter crop and play with making the background lighter or a blur? |

Love the low perspective especially neat since you made it from your car. It reminds me of the famous "Angry Bluebird" which made millions $ in subsequent merchandising. Perhaps investigate possibilities? Or at least a coffee cup.;) |

As already noted very nice bird portrait. A square crop is right on! |
