3 Apr 24 Reply Thank you. I really appreciate all the helpful comments about how to crop this picture. It is common to put a pattern or drawing on the front of the bee hive to help the foraging bees come back home. My niece has been helping us with the bees and is quite the artist. Our newer hives have beautiful paintings on their bottom boxes. We call this hive "Luna." In addition, the bee is emitted a pheromone to help the other bees come back in. I had cropped tightly to demonstrate this behavior. The finger belongs to an 83 year old beekeeper who has been our mentor. Apr 16th
3 Apr 24 Reply Thanks for all of the comments. I'll have to share my eclipse shots next month. I was able to travel and see the eclipse in totality.

3 Apr 24 Comment Beautiful shot. We were there a few years ago; unfortunately, we didn't have time to hike up to the falls. Now I want to go back!

3 Apr 24 Comment I continue to be amazed by the quality of your pictures taken with your cell phone. I like the perspective of the conch shell in the foreground. We used to see many more conch shells on the east coast beaches. Apr 13th

3 Apr 24 Comment Andres,

Welcome to the group. This is a great shot of the Mont. I like the perspective and the dark, looming sky. I did a super quick edit in Photoshop the camera raw filter and making a mask over the trees to reduce their saturation. I quickly brushed over the trees and intersected the mask with a color range.

The PSA has a Photoshop course, which is included with the membership. I found it to be a helpful way to get more comfortable using Photoshop. To be honest I do almost all of my editing in Lightroom and use the Photoshop to remove things from the photos.

3 Apr 24 Comment What a great travel shot from a bus. I like how you have captured to character of the countryside as you pass by. Apr 13th
3 Apr 24 Comment Here is a tighter crop showing more of the entrance. Apr 13th
3 Apr 24 Reply Thanks Ruth! Both you and Mary Ann suggested a wider crop, so I've attached 2 different versions. Which do you like more? My niece did the artwork on the hive. The decorations on our other hives are much less artistic. We started beekeeping last year. The photo is from one of our hives in the Virginia suburbs of Washington. Apr 13th
