Lovely shot Kathleen. I love how clear the eye is and the texture of the feathers. Well done. |

What a gorgeous shot! I love it. Never heard of this bird before so looked it up - it supposedly migrates to Australasia (I'm in Melbourne, Australia) but can't say I've ever seen this bird - maybe it just migrates to northern parts of Australia or beyond. |

I think the suggestion above about the cropping is spot on for this shot. Other than that, I like the image - pity the bird wasn't looking up at you but you can't get nature to do what you want. Nice shot. |

How wonderful Kathleen. I live near Ferny Creek :-)
Yes, parrots/cockatoos do dig up bulbs to eat them, so tulip, daffodil, oxalis and other bulbs. Local bulb farms here have to put rubber snakes here and there to stop them from digging them up leading up to the spring flowering time. But there are other plants, lots of weeds, that have bulbous roots too that they will dig up.

Yes, I do but no idea what to do in that regard. I'll have to Google to find out. Thank you. |

Thanks Roy, I wouldn't even know how to do that so thanks for the suggestion. |
