Butch, that may be my only chance to clearly see a Screech Owl! Your image shows a moving moment of the dad bringing home food for his hungry chicks. Beautifully captured and so touching!! |

I was happy to see this beautiful portrait of a Snail Kite!! When I was in Florida, one flew by our group but I missed seeing it. You perfectly captured its razor sharp beak and talons, intense red eye and distinct plumage! We have White-tailed Kites in California. |

Beautiful capture of a nightingale showing off her elegant skirt!! I particularly like the crop and subtle changes in Butch's image as it really emphasizes this lovely bird. She really shines with her detailed feathers and soft green background! |

Firstly Peter, I loved your fun description of capturing the water rail chickens! I wish we had them here in California. :). The three chickens are perfectly placed. The bright catchlights in their eyes and pointed beaks make the chickens look focused on the journey ahead! Adorable!! |

Gorgeous! I love the iridescence of the bluebirds head, silvery light under the wings and the softest peach breast. The strong diagonal motion of the bluebird just in reach of the insect is perfectly focused and dynamic! |
