Unique and fun photo Julia! I especially like Butch's crop showing just a hint of the pinecone while the tighter cropping gives emphasis to the adorable bluebird PERFECTLY perched on the complimentary watering can. Great colors! |

Firstly, I love your title. :) The bubbles of light are gorgeous. What species of bird is this? Your capture of super fine detail in its feathers and the perfect catchlight in its eye brings this sweet bird to life. Excellent image!! |

I looked at my histogram and it was not cut off on the right. Perhaps the lack of detail was in part due to the overcast conditions on the soft white feathers? I lowered the highlights in Lightroom as you suggested, and I did get a bit of detail back. |
