I adore your blue winged parrot! The vibrant colors and feather detail is stunning and the iridescent blue'headband' is turned perfectly to the viewer! I decided to try cropping it for fun. Not necessarily better, but another view. :)

An elegant flamingo image and I like the crop you chose! Some people prefer a perfect mirror reflection which can also be beautiful, but I often like an artistic "Monet" quality of a soft reflection which I think adds a lot to this image. The blue reflection on the water ripples provides a delightful contrast. |

Your two hours in the heat and bugs paid off. :) One gorgeous painted bunting on a sunflower is all it takes for a stunning shot! The foreground, background and Bunting are in perfect position and focus. I would not change a thing. It inspires me to visit the Sunflower Farms we have locally next time they are in bloom! |

Stunning image!! I am happy to have seen this white peacock!
I am wondering how you got the solid black background as it really sets off the dazzling white feathers. |

Wonderful shot of the Canadian goose! The eye has a nice catchlight and the overall image feels serene and graceful. I like how Roy brought the temp down. I have seen water with a natural combination of warm and cool colors and find it can add interest and a pleasing color balance. |

Hi Sylvia ~ Wow, a bald eagle in your backyard! I think it is a great shot especially considering it was on the fly so to speak. ;) It is always exciting and challenging when a fleeting moment presents itself. I especially like Roy's crop as I feel it captures the sharp focus and beauty of the eagle's gaze. |

Thank you for your helpful comments Jim! I did try to mask and soften background texture but will play with it a little more. |

I agree with darkening the image a little would help as you and Kathie mentioned. I was at 1/1250 for the capture as it was low light. It is always a compromise so I decided the blur added a little sense of motion. ;) |

Hi Hans ~
Could you please explain how you 'cropped the bright tonal values'? It did tone it down nicely. |
