10 Apr 26 Reply Thank you for your comments Frans. In answer to your question regarding removal in Ps - I find it delivers a better result than Lr. I know that Lr is becoming ever more powerful and I use it for most of my processing but PS Removal Tool seems to me to be more accurate. Apr 13th
10 Apr 26 Comment In answer to your question Frans, I prefer the post processed image. It has had distractions removed, colours enhanced and probably other edits too to make it an arresting image.
To achieve this you had to 'see' it first so kudos to you even if it was staged at the time.
Your creative vision is enhanced by your post processing skills.

10 Apr 26 Comment Clever use of a boulder Bob.
Personally, I would like to have more clarity on the rosebud so that it can star in the image rather than be dominated by the texture of the boulder. I have done very little composite editing so am not sure of how difficult or easy this would be. The bud resting on the crack was a good composition decision.

10 Apr 26 Comment I would not have picked this as a tulip Doug. Because of the pearlescent effect, I would have guessed at a sea shell of some sort.
Regardless, it is largely abstract and the centre clarity morphing to softness makes an interesting and appealing image. The soft greens also work well with the central orange/golds.
Nicely seen and photographed.

10 Apr 26 Comment Your image has definitely achieved a mistiness with a combination of lens and post processing Donna. Personally I prefer your Original 2 image which gives more clarity to the front flower in particular, while the overall image remains misty but that is just my personal taste.
In your main image the texture is masterfully applied to give the painterly effect you sought. The vase is well chosen for its ability to be in the background without competing for the viewer's eye.
Nice work.
