What a glorious temple Peter. And to have it capped off with a divine sunset while you were there is a real bonus.
It is soft as others have mentioned but as you have presented it as a building in the glow of sunset light, then the entire image presents as very glow-y.
I too, find the dark spot in the sky distracting so removal of that would be worthwhile considering.
All the best with your print competitions. |

An unusual combination of background and subject Bob. Because of that and with your clear skills, would you consider blurring the sea foam so it is not recogniseable as such and becomes more abstract?
I'm no Photoshop expert but guess that there is a way to eliminate the bluish line that others have mentioned. A little more exposure on the bottom right rose would make it similar to the others in its exposure.
The colour combination of subject and background is appealing. Thanks for challenging my senses |

It's hard to imagine how the AI derivative was extracted from the original shot Doug because they hardly look similar.
If I assume that the AI derivative is the image you want critiqued, then it is fascinating to view and could stand on its own in any modern art gallery.
The colours and the gradation and the crispness - excepting for the softness in the centre - really invite the eye to wander around the image.
I look forward to your next art image. |

Gorgeous colours Mark and exceptionally clear focus, showing all the leaf veins and making for an attractive image. Using a subtle vignette was a smart choice because it draws the eye to the centre of the image where most of the beautiful colour is concentrated.
If it were me, I'd try to remove the smaller blemishes in Photoshop with the Spot Removal tool so the viewer's eyes can wander around the image undistracted. But it's not me and you may prefer it au naturel.
Regardless, nice shot. |

Even though you were disappointed with your outing Donna, the image you have made shows the owls well in their habitat, particularly the standing owl which is absolutely clear in its focus. It was a good choice to use deNoise and Sharpen. The background is nicely blurred too. Well done.
I'm not much of a bird photographer, so won't attempt to offer wise advice but if you enjoy the challenge of photographing birds, keep at it. |
