Hi Rich, and for my two cents worth, I'd crop in even harder if the resolution allows.
What captures my eye is the tall buildings centre left which have the light on them, with the more traditional lower building in front and the white bridge. There is a lot of lightness in this section of the image which becomes the point which catches the viewer's eye first so you the rest becomes less important.
I enjoy good architecture images and this may be worth a try. |

Unusual and almost abstract effect Doug. I knew it was a flower but wouldn't have known hydrangea unless you had told me.
It would be great to see a series of different flowers all treated with the same editing but perhaps in different colours. |

You are skilled with Photoshop Donna and have enhanced the flower beautifully.
Your choice of background colour is perfect and the details of the flower itself are really clear.
It's a most attractive image. |

It's amazing that you caught this with a 24-70mm and I guess that you've cropped some to get the close view. I wonder if it would have made a difference to open the aperture to say, f8 and get a faster shutter speed and/or lower ISO. The light seems bright enough to handle the different settings.
Regardless, it's a cracker shot Peter. The colours and contrast are really pleasing to my eye. |

Thanks for your suggestons Donna. I always find it interesting how others see an image and often ask myself "why didn't I think of that?" |

I like that better Howard. Thanks for the suggestions. Back to the editing drawing board for me. |

A lovely shot Ricarda. The red dress and hat contrast beautifully with Anne's blonde hair. And her smile is happy.
The frame in the mirror is a nice difference from the standard portrait shot too.
Perhaps see if you can blur the background - try Lens Blur if you use Lightroom so that the carousel in the background does not grab attention from your main subject. |

Lovely work Napoleon and you are right - a lot of work goes into many astro images. I this case, it was definitely worth it.
Yes, crop the areas Bob mentioned to make more impact but congratulations on an excellent image. |

Clever post processing work Howard.
The wing position of the higher bird catches the eye and the lower bird adds an extra level of interest as it watches on. Gorgeous, glossy feathers captured on the head and back of both too. |

An excellent action shot Bob. You have done a great job of lightening the face and arms and have caught the rider's concentration expression really well. |

Very nice composition Delian and clever idea with the 'steam'.
I would crop a little slice off the top where the background appears to be gritty and the 'steam' becomes blotchy.
The leading lines are well placed and the background fabric beautifully arranged. |

I really like this foreground Peter. In fact, it really is the subject.
The mountain in the background is attractive but those flowers in the foreground arrest the attention and become the subject so much so that the mid and background are not needed. I like what Bob did with his crop. |

Thanks Bob. Good point about the tree on the left, as well as your other suggestions. |
