A beautiful bridge captured on a cloudy day Peter and the gold accents are real eye catchers.
I wonder if darkening the clouds would bring more mood and contrast to the image (you may have done that already so ignore me if so).
The object bottom right - top of a boat perhaps? - is distracting me and I suspect it would improve the overall image if removed.
That said, I am taken with the perfection of all those precise lines and your capturing of the leading lines of the lamps on the right through to the tall structure with the gold statue in the centre.
There is so much to look at in this image - one can study it for several minutes rather than seconds. |

Well handled Diana. Who'd have thought a common sparrow could look so attractive? You have captured the cold of the season well.
Your deft handling of the editing leaves us viewing an image which for me at least, needs no changing.

Most effective Doug. The serrated leaves really catch the viewer's eye. As you say, the fisheye lens makes for an interesting perspective.
The outside sides and top are well handled. The bottom to the the left is a bit muddy and I don't know if this can be made less so by filling with some other foliage. I'm not sure I'm skilled enough to do it but you may be.
Good shot. |

Hi Mark. I really like the the bird silhouettes and they are the star of the show.
I wonder if you would consider cropping even further so that you just have the three birds on the left. I think it would make a more powerful image.
A tighter crop would remove the distraction (to me) of the buildings in the background and the branches on the right. A crop to keep these three birds would probably leave some branches and the tail of the bird which is now on the far right. These could be removed in Photoshop or another editing tool. Just a thought.
Nicely captured nonetheless. |

I'm really enjoying the softness of your image Donna and I"m impressed with both your use of the Lens Baby and editing skills. The colour(s) is/are delightful
My eyes want seem to want a clear focus point though, either centre of the flower or front layer of petals, to draw me right in. This is my taste only and if you achieved what you set out to achieve, then ignore my comment.
Keep doing what you are doing. I'm sure you will find a myriad of ways to make striking flower images. |

How gorgeous the cherry blossom is Ricarda, making a striking foreground for the monument.
I'm guessing that your elongated crop is to show the height of the monument but I wonder what it would look like with a crop up from the bottom of the image. Less cherry blossom would make the monument a seem taller because it would be a greater proportion of the image height wise. It would also remove some of the brown amongst the beautiful mauve of the cherry blossom. Just something to try.
Well spotted. |

Ah, the challenge of the night shoot.
How wonderful to capture a deep space object.
As you have recognised, shorter shutter speed would have meant clearer focus on the stars and I'm guessing if you haven't already been on another night shoot, you'll be out there again soon.
Enjoy the learning process. |

An attractive building captured on a sunny day enhancing the colours. No doubt using HDR helped with the colours too.
I also like the tree branch shadows on the lawn for foreground interest too.

What a sweet face and well captured by you. Her eyes are crystal clear.
If I were to consider any change, it would be to globally reduce the exposure just a little to make it slightly less bright.
You have captured the innocence of a child really well. |

What a privilege to come across this lion pride and be able to capture it, despite the falling light. Well handled by the way.
With four of the lions looking up towards the camera and the reflection of all of them, it is an image that the viewer can study for minutes on end.
Great work Bob. |
