Thanks Mark.
I have attached a further edit in which I made a few changes from the original and which warms up the sky a little.
I did take a few other images but to me, this one was the best.
Your thoughts are welcome. |

Thanks Doug. And I agree - Lr makes the world of pano's much easier than manually stitching images together.
I did use a tripod and I have a geared head which is easier to keep on the same plane than a ball head when shooting panorama's. My overlap was 30-50% each image. |

A unique perspective Peter with the large front head and the rear full body statue between which the viewer's eye can wander to take it all in.
There is good clarity and focus on the front head and the background red colour is an excellent contrast. Because of the contrast, this one may be worth trying in black and white too if you haven't already.
Would you consider removing the ceiling dome in the top right hand along with the background stonework behind the front head, top left hand corner and substituting with matching red background? I suspect it would make the statues stand out even more.

Quite the sweetie tweetie Diana and well done in capturing such an image through window glass. The clarity and detail are superb including the all important face and eye.
The blurred background along with your overall editing, make the subject pop beautifully. |

A lovely old building Rich.
Given the dark and light colours that form the image, it would probably respond well to being converted to black and white and increasing the contrast. |

I'm enjoying the gorgeous shade of pink on the black background Doug. The clarity of the front edges of the lily is superb and that little glow of yellow deep within at the top, right-hand corner adds depth and interest. Nice lighting too.
Personally I prefer the cropped version. |

This is a most attractive composition Mark, with the trees and darkening sky behind the leading line of the colourful light tunnel, allowing it to be the star of the show.
You have captured and edited the lights well so that the viewer's eye is drawn immediately to the main subject. |

I'm really enjoying the way the main goose's wings are outstretched Donna. The fast shutter speed has captured them well.
I wonder if you could add some exposure to that goose's face and head as it is somewhat lost with the dark wing behind it. Although not something you can do with a true nature image, you may want to consider cloning out the front goose whose back side distracts from the true subject.
Birds are difficult to capture - well done on this one. |

Thank you Ricarda.
Yes, the light was what caught my attention on this particular morning and it was that upon which I focussed.
As I have had suggestions to both speed up the shutter and slow it down and because I live quite close to this beach and can visit easily, I will give both options a try when I am next there. |

Thanks for your comments Howard.
I did use a tripod because the lens is heavy and it was only my second outing with it. I figured I needed assistance with the weight.
Slow shutter speed didn't occur to me at the time because I was loving the gorgeous light on the hills but as I live quite close to this beach and visit semi-regularly at various times of day, I will go again when we have a sunny morning and try it with a slow shutter speed. |

A lovely sentiment Ricarda. May you too, have joy in 2024.
I echo Napoleon's suggestion to brighten the actual words so that they visually take centre stage. |

What a sweetie tweetie Howard.
Such sharpness on the subject including the all important eye and a soft background with no distractions, in a colour which shows off your beautiful capture of a common bird. It demonstrates we don't always have to travel far to make good images.
Well done. |

Many railway stations are in wonderful architectural buildings, so it is no surprise that this one caught your eye.
I wonder if you get to this station regularly because it would be worth a revisit to see if you could capture what you have cropped in to get, thus getting clearer resolution. It may be worth trying black and white as well.
I enjoy the contrast of the curved and straight lines along with the differing ceiling treatments. Well seen Bob. |

You have gorgeous colours here Delian and the composition on a black background is most attractive.
The light on some of the vegetables is too bright to bring out their best and I wonder if you could reduce exposure in this area to enhance the depth of colour.
I bet it tasted as delicious as it looks.

A fabulous image Peter, with face and eyes in focus and wings in an attractive to the viewer, position.
Would you consider cropping in even further? The bird is the star of the show and would look even more impressive if it dominated the frame. Hopefully this would not reduce the resolution too much. |

Such an impressive, long wingspan and congratulations for capturing a bird in flight Napoleon - notoriously difficult.
Importantly, it's eye is well focussed.
The light is beautiful but strong and you may want to consider dulling down the brightness on the right just a tad and lightening the shadows on the left to show more detail in the head and neck. Just enough to make a difference but not to take away the variance in light on left and right. |
