Thanks Darcy! I will definitely work more with cropping rations - I tend to stick to 2:3/3:2 and need to remember to consider other crops more often. |

Thanks for the feedback - I wasn't thinking about their reactions playing into it, I was too focused on the players as it was such a large crop from the original |

Hi Kamal -
Another lovely image. You have an eye for such great photojournalism moments. I always feel that I learn something new with each of your photos. Great use of the iphone camera- I have the same one and always forget that I can change the f/stop in portrait mode. I think your cropping works well, but I agree at brightening the area around the boat a bit, to draw the eye to it more and offset the reflection of the sun |

Hi Tom-
I've had luck with some Blue Herons at our local preserve but the Egrets are normally flying away. I love the balance between a soft artistic shot and still having the detail of the feathers. I think you've captured the majestic-ness of the bird well and I like the background |

Hi Greg -
I've really enjoyed this series. I agree with the above comments, his eyes and smile draw you right in, the lighting works well with his posing. What a wonderful gift you've given them. |

Hi Darcy -
Definitely a unique capture! I think the detail in the gargoyle highlights the stonework and age of it nicely, but also agree with Tom's separation of the background helping frame it more. |

Hi Karen!
What wonderful timing for the canoe to come around the bend. I agree with Tom that the foreground bush adds some depth and is not distracting. Definitely makes me want to visit there! |

Hi Ingred!
I think this is a wonderful photo capturing bygone days. I agree on the powerlines and possibly the one tree at the top of the hill (it almost looks like a person). I think the contrast of the reds and oranges with the faded black of the locomotive works well. |
