Amazing piece of fine art, Lance! If I have to choose one, I'd say the featured one, 100%. To me it was the balance and harmony the second tree trunk at the far top right brought to the frame. I also like the tonality of it more comparing to the original. Please pardon my ignorance of the film process. I know many people have deep sentimental connection to it, but "film" the word alone does not activate my brain cells. I know, I need to set time aside to visit film photography galleries. |

Mark, It was a stunning image. Love the ultra wide view and tonality your process brought. I do want to see the top of the snow covered peak on the far right. I kept scrolling up... |

Great capture Adi, a great representation of the Big Apple. To me, I particularly like the "folks" on the billboard looking down at the street, like saying "you are watched". With this in my mind, I think I would totally crop the top 1/3 off, just as a panorama shot, but this is just me. |

Michel, A great image! I love the tonality and sharp focus point. The background lines of the leaves are really really nice touch. Very well done processing! Only thing I didn't care for are those three dots (two white on top and on black on the bottom center eating through the petal). |

Hi Michael, Since I have the tendency to view the image without read the description/comments first, I have to say this photo did not invoke any sadness feeling on me. I find it very peaceful and orderly given the nearly symmetric placement of the key elements. I do get some nostalgic feeling from the film grins and particularly your choice of the picture border, again not sad, rather good old times. I absolutely love the bird (first I thought it was a kite). It brought the energy and liveness to the photo, such a tranquil and calm scene to me. Excellent photo, it certainly invokes emotions one way or the other. |

Michel, thank you very much for taking the time to re-render the image. I do see the difference in details. Regarding the space, I went back to my shots and did not find an wider picture from this position (yes I had 20mm lens on my camera). I guess I was more drawn into the contrast of the foreground rocks and wanted to use them as the main point of interest yet to be balanced from the valley down below. Thanks for bring this up, a good food for thought. |
