I agree, this has a painterly feel to it and the palette is warm, but it seems that something's missing. |

Thanks Paul for your much appreciated comments. I hadn't noticed the flags and how they're blocking part of the view...good point and the one in foreground can be stamped out. I've taken a few more angles, but this one seems to be the best. |

Good point about the pavement highlights. I've actually dodged that area for more contrast, perhaps an overkill also. Thanks Francois for the much appreciated comments. |

A very calm and peaceful capture with sounds of the water falls. My eyes go directly to the left where the falls are brighter than the center falls, which I find more interesting. I would probably crop some from the left. Overall, it's a wonderful spot that you've captured. |

I really like the overall 'old world', romantic scenery and the detail. I'm curious of what would you hear there? Music/singing, people talking, sounds of water/boats/gondola, or is it basically 'quiet'? I do agree that the water is a little bright, but enjoyable to view. |

I like how you've captured the super clear shallow water and how the canal(?) curves out beyond showing the old stoned structures. You can actually see the boats' shadows beneath them, but I kind of wished that the boats weren't there. The colors are very appealing. |

Wonderful meditative palette as the sun was rising and within a peaceful/calm composition. I like how the water wave comes towards you in the foreground. I'd love to hang this on my wall. |
