That's a very good point Francois and it's something I hadn't considered. I had the tendency to show the full reflection as well as top sky portion, where the emphasis should be. Cropping above the branches works much better. |

Thanks Nenette for your comments and after viewing it longer, the rays against the blues seem a bit saturated...I agree. Thanks again. |

It's an interesting capture and I like the color tones and overall exposure Paul. I think it almost has a Norman Rockwell painting feel to it as a narrative with the sitting guy. The 'Brewery' building somewhat distracts from him, but it also plays part of the overall picture. Perhaps darkening the blue and white shirts of the background people could help draw more attention to the reader. |

The capture, the lines of perspective, and 'straight-on' angle makes this very impressive Arief. This is one type of structure I could not think to cross due to my serious fear of heights. I imaging this to be perhaps in a desaturated/muted color palette to compare the plants/trees versus the bridge as a stronger contrast between them...just my thoughts. |

I agree that the colors are great and makes an attractive painting Nenette, but seems to be a bit busy and not sure what my eye should rest upon. The water pathway does give a sense direction, but could it be emphasized a bit more somehow, agreeing with Paul? I wonder if some vignetting would draw attention to the water path or cropping a little from the top? |

Francois, I like the mysterious feel of the stream having the steam-like water movement as if the ground was super-hot creating some steam, but I think this wasn't your intention. I agree with Paul's thoughts about having a bit more luminosity among the ground. I also like how the water flows down into the pool. |

This has a real historic feel to it and angle of the capture adds interest rather than a direct/frontal shot. I was a little perplexed with the scale of the bridge vs. the rocky ground. In my mind (and I could be all wrong), the ground appears to be a narrow pathway due to the size of the rocks (pebbles?) compared to the size of the bridge...almost like an optical illusion. But, after Googling the site and viewed various scenarios, I can see the sense of its scale. Nice capture and angle of it. Sorry for the rant. |

I imaging listening to the water gushing down the stream. I like the warm natural palette with a burst of yellow from leaves. It's a great scene to sit and relax within it.
Paul's slightly enhanced option gives this a more vibrant image. I wonder if cropping a bit from the yellow leaves to place the stream in the center gives it more impact? Just a thought. |
