Thats what I like about this forum, you get lots of excellent feedback! My experience with photo contests is that I mignt feel I have a "competive" photo, but to identify what will be a "winner" will be up to the subjective perpective eyes of the judges. I hope other members of this form will give their opinions of which crop they prefer. |

Butch, your point is well taken, however I feel the uniqueness of the photograph is the fish and its detail is lost when framing the whole bird. Here is the full bird cropped for comparison. |

A good image with the pot, and bird posing for your shot! I thought the pine cone a little distracting, so I cropped it out. |

Good catch. I sometimes add a little selective exposure to the eye and I lowered the highlights a smidge |

Great photo. Look forward to compare Peter's sugestion. Too bad the sun was not providing more light to the eyes. All to often for me the sun is not right, bird in on the back of the tree etc, etc,! |

Great photo. It seems to me the whites are a little blown out. I sometimes lower the "highlight" Lightroom bar a bit to regain a little feather texture. White birds are tough! |

Great photo and I concur with all of Tom's comments. It is really great to have photographers in many countries, get to see birds outside of our area. |
