I was standing, but with a 800mm lens you are further away, (in this case about 250ft) so the angle is less than smaller glass. I also mistyped, it was 1/2000 sec |

I agree with Hans. Vultures are hard to photograph because they have large bodies and small heads, leaving little detail of the eyes and beak. I have had some better success when they are feeding on the ground. |
