You are welcome. Being a morning person and living on the west coast of Florida has its advantages for a beach photographer. Getting pictures of a skimmer skimming is a huge challenge. But that's what makes it rewarding. Enjoyed looking at your groups photos |

I am new to PSA and was just skimming :) other groups to see what they were doing. I took a double take at this photo. My photo was taken at Redington Beach, just North of St. Pete Beach. I try to take pics early in the morning to get the sun to reflect in the eyes and bring out the detail of the feathers. Shot with a Nikon Z8 -Nikon 200-500mm (@500) f 5.6 ISO 200 1/3200. Hope you guys do not mind me butting in! |

No sooner did I say that I don't often see a red shoulder on birds here in FL, yesterday one proved me wrong! |

Z8 with 45 Megapixels gives me a lot to work with! And Lightroom is getting better every day. I rarely have to go to Photoshop. |

As in the other comments, great job. Getting black eyes to show is a challenge. A very minor comment, I might have removed the tip of the cattail on top of the bird's head. We have lots of Red-winged black birds here in Florida, but they are very good at hiding their colored shoulders! |

Great Photo. I like the way you framed the bird. Some of the photos I take at dawn have a slight yellow tint. I often use lightroom temp setting to cool it down just a little. Not sure if it takes away from the true shot. Here is yours cooled down. |

Great Photo, did a good job with a 200mm lens. And as Julia mentioned, 1/2000 shutter speed provided lots of detail. Also well framed. |
