Love the texture on that building. The separation technique you mentioned works. I do agree the perspective is a little off - I notice it more on the right side. The clouds I think are a little bit overdone. |

Wonderful image of waterfalls. Black and white always works so well for this kind of shot. |

That title certainly goes with the image. You can see the longing in her eyes and expression as she looks out the window. |

This is a very interesting composition - all the curves that go in different directions. The black and white conversion works very well. I do find that the image is very smooth. I'd love to see a bit more texture and shadows. |

I love this image! I love how the clouds frame the tower (and what a very interesting tower that is!). You caught a great moment here. The contrasts also work very well. The image of that tower really complements all the masts of the boats below it. |

That's a great moment! The mechanic certainly adds a lot of interest in this image. The first thought that came to me before I read your description was - is that man jumping??? LOL. Thank God it's the mechanic. But that's the point - this image made me think for a minute. I probably would crop out the bottom 4th of the image. I find that the mechanic is the more interesting part of the story you're trying to convey. Also, I would add more contrast. |

I just love all the texture on this image - the curve shapes of the rocks, the smooth flow of the water. I also love it in monochrome, works very well for this shot. For me, it looks very busy though and I can't figure out where to focus with my eyes. Maybe a bit more contrast would help. |

What a wonderful sight! Those rocks are humongous! I wonder if rock climbers scale them. And you're lucky to take this on a beautiful day. I would suggest cropping out much of the grassy foreground and a little off the top to focus closer. The trees which stand right in between the rocks are distracting because they cover the houses behind them. Was it possible to take this from a different angle? The white house is also a little washed out so your eyes really go to it rather than the whole scene. I agree with Arief that more contrast an saturation could make this pop out. |

Your image makes me want to go back to San Francisco. When I was there several years ago, I had not yet picked up a camera and was not into photography but I loved taking photos of the trams with my phone. What strikes me with this image is that lady in the middle, perfectly captured within a window frame and seemingly looking straight into the camera. I love that but it's probably too small to hone in on. I would have liked to see the tram against a blurry surrounding to evoke the feeling of movement. The sharp sign of Golden Gate on top of the tram distracts me from the main subject of the image. |

Thank you Carl. I failed to mention that I took this from a boat while doing a lake tour. I did a high speed continuous shot as we were sailing past it. |

Thank you Paul. It's interesting you brought up converting to B&W because I actually made a monochrome version of this too and like you said, it does work quite well. |
