I'm torn as to which version I like best. Both give me lots to look at! Great photo! I've gone back and forth half a dozen times, but I think I'm leaning toward the mono as it seems older. Nice shot! I like that we don't see the girl's face. That swinging hair is so typical of a 10 yr old, which I am guessing she may be! |

Thank goodness for the window: without it, it would be a dark and perhaps oppressive place! It looks much older in mono!! Well done. |

Fun photo! Really shows the skin texture and the hairs on the hand, the shine on the lower lip. Neat photo and so much better in mono than color, in my opinion. |

And amidst all that movement, the bird still perches on the bull's horn! I am not sure the bull cared to be splashed in the face. I might have cropped it closer, but when you tell the story, I think its helpful to have so much field behind the bull! Nice action! |

I really must look up this show! It looks interesting! Yes, I like the three people, placed in a triangle. The vicar is above them (perhaps in status, too?), but the lady on the left is doing a shake-down on behalf of the (less than) pitiful lady on the right. She looks like she could take care of herself in any situation! The arrangement keeps my eye flowing around the triangle, from face to face. Well done! Looks like a grey British day, too! |

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your suggestion. I agree the black and the portion of nest aren't helping the photo. I tried several potential crops and I felt like it was too close up to the eggs. I guess I see them as tucked away secretly??? So therefore, smaller in the overall frame. And then I found myself wishing there was more breathing room above the eggs so I could crop as you suggested. But there wasn't any space up there. Maybe I'll reshoot it. I do like your idea, so will work on that. Thanks. |
