I took several suggestions from group and did a tighter crop. I think there is now more focus on the kitten. |

The object on the right side was a bowl with water. Definitely looks better without it. |

I do like the tighter crop on the bottom, too. |

Thank you for your suggestions, I re-cropped my image and darkened the bag in the background. |

Bob, thanks for clarifying that this wasn't a competition shot-just a moment of pure, unfiltered photographer frustration. ????????
At that point, the only sensible move was to take the photo and turn the moment into something fun instead of furious. So… I leaned into it and made an abstract out of it for your viewing pleasure.
Proof that even a grumpy shutter click can become art if you squint at it the right way. ???? |

I really like the blue tones in your winter scene-you can almost feel the chill in the air. The atmosphere is very effective. I wonder if adding a small focal element might help hold the viewer's attention even more, while still keeping that beautiful sense of cold and quiet. |

At first, I found your image a bit puzzling because I couldn't immediately tell what I was looking at. But after spending some time with it, I realized that the trees form the horizon line and the scene is actually a sunset across the lake with an icy shoreline in the foreground. Once that clicked, I really appreciated how unique the perspective is. It's a very creative and distinctive capture that makes the viewer pause and look a little deeper. |

In my opinion, you have a fabulous image. I also like all the edits everyone else has done, especially the one with the blue tones (I think Bob submitted it). I can see using the darker area, above the white, as a texture in a future image. |

Your darker image is better, thanks for your explanation. It is a beautiful nature shot. |

Your image tells a great story. Unfortunately, many people never see such beauty in nature. I think your image would be stronger if you left more room in front of the Spoonbill. I took your original image and cropped it down, and removed some of the haze. What do you think? |
