Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, it was a very large crop and cannot be sharpen further but I liked the action of the shot. |

I agree that Isaac crop makes the owl stand out. Also has a leading line of the branch to the main subject of the owl. Surrounding area and blurred background compliments the subject. |

I agree there was too much space around. I was afraid to go closer because I saw that the image was soft. It was a large crop but I liked the action and wanted to share. Sometimes, we are just not fast enough to catch the action and make sure all the modes are correct! |

How fortunate you are to travel to this area. Seeing that you used a 105 lens, you must be able to get quite close to your subject. I did haze removal and a vertical crop, as I found the white rock distracting. What do you think? |

Very educational image. Your explanation is something we don't think about when photographing the birds. Love the backlit image. Now have a greater understanding of their habits. |
