Thank you for your kinds words. The hawks really seem to be active this time of year. Recently saw one in our neighborhood catch a squirrel and fly off. He struggled a little, I believe because of the weigh, it was a full grown squirrel. Good luck with your future endeavors to photograph raptors. |

Thank you for your comments. I agree I need to be more aware of my background and move around. Sometimes you just get excited at seeing something and just starting photographing, hoping to get a good image before the subject moves. |

This image tells a wonderful story of how protective birds are of their chicks and how nurturing. I am sure it is a long process of sitting on the egg and then caring for the chick until it is ready to be on its own. Nature is amazing. I like the contrast Isaac added as it helps bring your eye to the image of the chick. Thank you for sharing an image that many of us will not see in real life. |

Love the leading line into the image. I know it is very hard to get a hummingbird in such great clear focus. They are so small and so fast moving! Terrific image! |

Indeed a very sharp image! You can just see the concentration of the Snowy looking for his next meal. Great capture. |

Isaac, you certainly captured a very unusual pose of this Purple Gallinule. Most of the time they are dashing around trying to escape or hide from people. Like the story it tells along with your title. Perhaps I would have darken the reflection of the leg and wing, I find it a little distracting. |

I agree with Isaac, too much space takes away from the main subject. I like the crop Isaac did. Your image is sharp and beautiful. I like that it is in a natural setting and shows the bird finding his own food source. |

Isaac, you did a terrific job on making this hawk stand out. Will try to do the same in the future. I knew the brightness around the beak was distracting but did't know how to correct. Thanks for the info. |
