I like the lighter bird but not the light on the mangrove. I think Isaac was able to achieve this better. |

I agree the bird needed to be lighter without lightening the background as the mangroves draw your eyes away from the merganser. |

Beautiful coloring, maybe slightly soft but showing action because of taking off for flight. Nice capture. |

Gloria, thanks for sharing this image! Have not been to the Galapagos and have never seen a Frigatebird on land, only in the air down in the Keys. I know they have quite a wing span. Also have not seen one with the red pouch! |

Love how you toned down the original water and the crop you used. The mergansers are sharp and appear they are on a mission. beautiful reflection, too. |

Hi Jerry. You did a terrific job on blurring the back ground. Just a personal issue, it bothered me that the bird was looking down and since the background was blurred so, I made it a vertical. Just another way to view it. |

Isaac, I agree with Jim that the shoulder feathers distracted being out of focus so I did darken and then cropped some. I also dehazed which seemed to bring out some details. Would you agree it's a little better? |

Nice image Sarita. I did find the branch and stick in the back ground distracting, so I removed them in photoshop and also used haze removal to darken the picture slightly. What do you think? |
