Thanks for your comments, Sheldon. Initially, I hada lighter sky, but I like my monochrome skies very dark. |

Thanks for the comment, Ed. It was 4-degrees on that day, but I dressed warm and there was no wind so it still nice to be out shooting. I bet you don't miss the cold. |

Thanks, Henry. Nice catch on the light post, and I'll give the crop a try. |

This is a nice perspective shot, Henry. Nice work with the Removal tool. I might try two things: crop the building on the left out so all you see is the aqueduct, and give it more contrast. It's amazing how well preserved that structure is. |

Nenette- What draws me to your image is how your composition shows the mountains in layers: the part in front of the road, the triangular part of the mountain behind the road, and the mountain in the rear. I do think the snow needs to be whiter. I don't know how you processed the image, but I think if you desaturated the blue from the original color image then make the mono conversion the snow might become whiter. I'll bet that was a great trip. |

Sheldon, Your image has a lot of interesting detail in it. It holds the viewer's attention. the symmetrical composition is great. The elements below the dome all lead the eye up to the dome which is the center of interest. Some might say that the windows are blown out, but I know from experience that unless you blend multiple exposures (shooting on a tripod) the windows will be blown out. The image is still very nice. |

Hi Murphy-I prefer the landscape crop that you did over the vertical presentation. Fo me, it has more impact. My only suggestion would be to try for more contrast. |

Great shot, Peter. The expression says it all. Everything works here. Nice crop and excellent mono conversion. What software process did you use for the mono conversion? |

Hi Ed- The first thing that caught my eye about your image is the great exposure. Great highlights, midtones, shadows and contrast. The composition works well. I like the fact that you shot this altar from an angle, rather than straight on from the front (as I always do with church interiors. Maybe I'll try your method next time I'm shooting in a church.) I wouldn't change anything in this image. |

Great depth of field and really nice color balance. And the image is really sharp. I like the fact that it is a close uo view of the horse and rider. It makes you feel like you're just inches away. I am seeing a bit of a halo around the horse's leg. Otherwise, the image is very nice. |

I agree that the ground area could be brought down a bit. I tink the composition is perfect. The depth of field is great: sharp from the very front to the rear. I was there many years ago, but did not see any large rocks with trails. Nice shot. (I hope you didn't get too sun burned out there.) |

A nice color image. You did really well with the light painting. The glow behind the building separates it well from the sky. Is tahat light coming through the window from the interior? |

This is a very striking image. The fact that the two painted characters on the wall are each turned toward the subject really makes the image. I think monochrome works really well with this image. Great job! |

This is a very interesting image, Keith. I think you got just the right depth of field with the important monuments sharp and the background soft. My only suggestion from a processing point of view would be to select the (white) table cloth and remove the blue cast which is coming from being in the shadow. |

Thanks, Michael. I did pan a couple of shots from a different location where the cars were perpendicular to me going from left to right. |
