Jim,
I agree with Sylvia. The mist really make the photo interesting. The greens give the image a nice warm feel. |

That's an interesting comment; the masking. I didn't do any masking. If you look at the original in full size it appears there. Could it be the edge of some clouds in the distance behind the trees? |

Henry, If leaving the twig appeals to you more than removing it, then you should leave it. |

Thank you, Henry. I really enjoy monochrome processing. This was pretty much of a "grab shot". No tripod. I get lucky sometimes. |

Technically, I think this image was handled quite well. It has n=nice tonal values and contrast. And, this image certainly does tell a story. I just wonder if there isn't too much in the image. Although, if I'd have been there I would have taken one like it also. |

There's a lot of nice detail in this image. The blacks have retained their detail well. I think the angle that you photographed the car (truck?) at results in a pleasing composition, nicely framed by the dandelions in front of the vehicle. |

Hi Nenette,
What captures my attention as soon as I see this image is the youngster's eyes: and that's what a portrait should do. You captured a great expression on her. The conversion to mono works well. I think this image is very well done. |

Hi Henry,
I'm a big fan of shooting waterfalls, so your image immediately appeals to me. For a severely under exposed image you brought back the darks quite well. The one-second shutter speed rendered the water nicely without losing the highlight, and it's nicely composed. My only suggestion would be to remove the twig that is in the center of the image. |

Hi Sheldon,
I think you have a very nice image. The composition is simple and uncluttered. It has good tonality and contrast, and all the detail is present. It converts well to monochrome from the color original. |

Nice capture, Jim. Really nice background with good detail on the front of the birds. Maybe just a bit more shadow detail needed on the back of the closer bird? |

Thanks, Sharlana. Rugby is kind of like football with very few rules. At least that's how it looks to me. And the game is very rough, as you an tell by the picture. That rugby field is located where two sides have trees in the background. That helps the image. That image is croppped to about half the size of the full image. |

I think the composition of this image works well, however I think the exposure time could have been even longer so that the radial lines get wider. |

Thanks, Jim. This was the first women's rugby match that I photographed. I did another one recently. You always get gret expressions in these. What I hope to get in theses shots is seeing the ball, otherwise a viewer might not know what the game is. I can't take much credit for the trimming; camera mode was Continuous at 15 fps. |
