Nice shot, Jim. The coast edge leads nicely into the sunset and the clouds are great. I find that sunset pictures can be improved by waiting until the sun just goes below the horizon thus eliminating the hot spot from the sun. |

Thanks, Keith. I only learned last year that there are a number of rodeos in the western New York (Buffalo) area. There's one in Ellicottville, Attica, Stevensville, Ontario and in Nearby Alden New York there is a church in the middle of town that has a rodeo every Saturday night throughout the summer. |

Thanks, Susan. One of the nice things about rodeo photography is that you can get more than one nice shot of a rider in the less than 8 seconds that he or she is on the horse. |

This is a well exposed, nicely composed image. The foreground foliage frames the meadow and mountain nicely. |

Really nice shot. The shrimp is nice and sharp from front to back. The colors are really vibrant. And the composition works well. |

Thanks Michael. I will admit that continuous shooting mode and some luck helped with this image. |

Thank you, Sharlana. I do tend toward black and White; especially photos like this one. |

The shallow depth of field really makes the subject in this image stand out. If that was done in processing, then you did a veery nice job with it. One minor thing is the balloons are a bit too close to the top of the frame (merger). It would be good to have a little more room between them and the top of the frame. Nice color saturation, too. |

Nice action shot, Stuart. The colors work well together. I might have liked to see a little more on the right side of the photo to better identify what it is that he's striking, if indeed that is what he is doing. |

Sharlana, you've picked a really interesting looking subject for your photo. I don't know that a lower (wider?) f-stop would have made much difference. It would have helped to blur the background more, but since the subject is so close to the background it might have blurred him somewhat. The background can be easily blurred in Photoshop. you've captured a good expression on the subject. I might look for a bit more detail in his beard. Excellent crop. |
