Thanks, Susan. I think the halos are a result of dropping in the background. The selection on the flowers wasn't perfect. I've never been really happy with selections. |

This shot has great depth of field, and the colors are really striking. I do think there should be some separation between the sky and the ground. |

What I really like about this shot is the contrast in the surface of the water behind the duck and in front of the duck. The reflection really makes the shot. Technically, it's really well done. The blue water is nicely saturated. Great shot. |

This is a nice still life Heather. The grouping of three items makes a nice study. I'm not sure about the glass intersecting the one bottle. I think I might have laid the glass down, or might have added some liquid to it (which you probably couldn't have done at the conference). The verticals and horizontal edge are perfect. My personal preference when shooting glasses or jars is to shoot from a slightly higher angle so the entire circumference of the glass shows. Overall, quite nice. (I have a collection of blue glass bottles that I've used a lot in my still life photographs.) |
