Very interesting shot, Leslie. You do a good job of capturing the sparseness of the coast. I've never been to Baja and this gives me a good feel for what the place is like. Rather than monkey around with sky replacement, I suggest cropping more of the sky out of the image. That way, you are being faithful to what the scene presented to you and giving more emphasis to your primary subject, the driftwood, as well as the rocky shoreline. |

I agree with the others. You did a great job of rescuing this shot and seamlessly painting a much more pleasant background, the sky. Simply masterful, Judy. Good work. |

I like the close up the best. It eliminates some of the issues you were wrestling with in the background. Also, if you enter one of these in a competition, make sure you take into account the guidelines. If you use the image altered with AI that added pixels, you could have your entry eliminated. Cute critter! |

Fascinating subject, Peter. You do seem to get out and travel quite a bit. I agree with Sherry that this was a tricky one to edit. But I do like your strategy in bringing the background down to create more tonal separation with the subject. I think it could have been a bit more subtle by not making the peacock's feather display quite so bright. |

Nice capture, Sherry. I agree with Leslie and Gwen, though. I'm not a fan of making major content edits to my images, but to each her own. I also agree with Judy in that I like the original, lighter background in the original. |
