94 Sep 24 Comment Nice shot, Leslie. I like the colors and the dive bombing bee. What really makes it for me is the antennae. Gives that little guy character. I like the tight crop, too. Great job. Sep 11th
94 Sep 24 Comment Foor those of you who have never been to Lake Tahoe, the water there is a very incredible blue on a day like this. I actually added very little in the way of saturation. Maybe I should have dialed back the vibrance. The dehaze slider may also have affected the blue in this image. Because the original image was shot during the middle of the day, it needed a little TLC to make it pop. Maybe just not so much. I'll be more mindful of that in future images. Comments appreciated. Thanks. Sep 11th
94 Sep 24 Comment You Floridians sure have a lot of crazy looking birds. Very interesting creature well captured by you, Judy. Looks like you captured this guy just before he was about to take flight. Nice, well balanced composition. Great job! Sep 11th
94 Sep 24 Comment Peter, you seems to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Great photo. Nice composition. I like the way he "posed" for you on the rock and especially how he stuck his head up in the air to provide separation between subject and background. Nice, even exposure, too. The only thing I would have enjoyed seeing is just a tad more pop with the colors. Nonetheless, an outstanding photograph! And, yes, I remember Rin Tin Tin. They just don't make show or character like they did way back then. Kudos! Sep 11th
94 Sep 24 Comment Love this shot, Sarita. Excellent job in post creating a flawless composition with a nice curvy line grabbing your attention and tying together the subject and the background. Excellent crop to reveal a well balanced image with great colors. Interesting subject, too--good eye! Sep 11th
94 Sep 24 Comment I continue to be amazed at the great bird photographs you all come up with. This one is no exception., Sherry. Nice job of capturing this spoonbill giving itself a bath. Just watching it must have been a treat. The only thing I would liked to have seen is the bird's head in the light. I think that would have made for a stronger image. Would it have been possible to isolate that part of the image and brighten it up in Photoshop?I recognize, however, that when shooting wildlife, you have to take what you can get in the frame.
