Then, just for fun, I applied the oil-paint filter under crystalize in Photoshop. This made it a whole different image which you might not like but I like how this filter works when applied to vegetation. |

What a nice place! I was in New England 4 or 5 years ago for the colors.
I edited your photo and increased the saturation on selected parts. I also increased the brightness of the foreground. I then added a tiny amount clarity and dehaze. Finally, I added a tiny amount of vignette to direct the viewer's eye. I think Brenda's version is a bit over saturated. What do you think? |

I think this is a great photo - WELL DONE!!
Some of the air bubbles in the corners have chromatic aberrations but I think that in this case it actually improves the image. Look at the upper left. |

Congratulations on your retirement. I've been retired for a long time and being a 'Gentleman of Leisure' suits me...
I think you image works best as a square crop - the sort of thing that goes on Instagram. So I cropped that way. I enhanced the color of some of the vegetation and I added a tiny bit of barrel distortion. |

Nice bird photo. I really don't do much photography like this so I don't have any real feedback for you. I'm a big fan of black and white however. |

This is a nice photo. I felt the color was a little off so I edited it and played with the color. It seemed to have an excessively blue cast to it. I made the pump black and white which I felt looked better. I noticed that the ceder trees had a lot of gray and black so I painted in in color using a new layer. I added color noise to the paint layer and added monochrome noise to the brightness-contrast color mask to give it texture. |

I really like photographing spiral staircases. I've got a bunch of them. This is a really nice photo but I think the original is better than your edit because you broke it when you removed the lamp in the upper left. You still have the glow reflecting on the floor and the hand rail doesn't match. Here is the detail I am referring to. |

Thanks, it's just an experiment. Your version look too bright and it seems to bring out the noise but the color looks good. Anyway I have been playing with the oil-paint feature under stylize in Photoshop lately. I've gotten some results that I really like. I've found that it doesn't work well on the sky so I mask the sky in this version and used the oil-paint filter on everything else. |

I think that the trees in the foreground are being illuminated by the street lights in the parking lot where this photo was taken. If you look at the original the bush on the viewer's right is really bright. This was the parking lot of the resort owned and run by the Navajo Nation. Again, this is just an experimental photo that I thought would be interesting to share and discuss. I really wouldn't want this hanging on my wall. |
