Nice, I've used very subtle sepia filters in Photoshop to counteract the blueing effects in distant mountain scenes but have never used it for monochrome. This is a great idea. |

That's nice! I think I will edit my original and make a new version with your color enhancements. |

Yes you are right. I didn't think about the foreground being of interest but I guess it actually is now that I look at it again. I have a strong urge to keep the original aspect ratio or go to 1 to 1. I really need to get over that I guess. |

Thanks! I could do a bit more contrast. I would be concerned that cropping ground out would make it have too much sky. I'm told that the sky shouldn't be more than a half of the scene unless the sky is the subject. I've also heard that the horizon shouldn't be exactly in the middle of the image. Not that I follow these rules myself, but I've heard other photographers offer these as rules of thumb. Any comments on that? |

This is really nice. This is the sort of thing I like shooting and I really need to submit some of my macro photography to this group, maybe next month. I really can't think of anything to add as a suggestion for improvement. |

Nice shot! Bird photography really isn't my thing but this image is nice. You might consider reducing the contrast of the background and brighten the eyes of the duck. |

I love this! It looks like the sort of thing I would seek out and shoot. It's really interesting that you were shooting f/5.6 and got everything in focus as well as you did at 28mm. If I were shooting that scene I would have gotten carried away and ended up with 50 or so images. The only thing I can suggest is to possibly make it pure black and white and see how that looks. The level of contrast you have is perfect in my opinion. |

Beautiful bridge! And I love the rolling landscape. I wish you had captured all of the bridge and not have it cut off on the left side. Also, the sky looks more realistic in the original image. Had you crossed the road and taken a photo from the other side, you could have had the top of the hill between the two arches of the bridge - just a thought. |

Nice shot and nice cropping. I like the colors. It's interesting that my eye catches the legs first but I wouldn't want to alter the photo except maybe make the legs a little less saturated and bright. |

I like the idea of removing the trees but it would make a different photo out of it. My personal style tends to be low contrast. You might have noticed this in previous months. I like your edit a lot and will keep it in mind. We just had a big snow storm a week or so ago. I was planning to go shoot this scene in the snow but never got around to it. Had I done that then there would have been lots of pure white and black. |
