Thank you all for your comments. Here is the original image in color. This is an old School for girls, that has been closed for many years. Sadly, I don't remember the name, but it is on the corner of N. Market and E. Douglas Streets in Knoxville, Il. This was one of my few opportunities to photograph architecture, so I was looking at many angles.
Also in a recent B&W competition, the judge remarked that showing the whole first pillar was distracting to him, so I tried cutting in half. I'm not sure if the distraction was the size or something else. I find it interesting how each person sees something different in an image. Thanks again for all the input. |

Nice minimal image. I personally like the original exposure. Might try a linear gradient on the sand to remove a tiny bit of the black. Or maybe removing a little black on the whole image. My thoughts. Nice shot. |

What an optical allusion. I look once and it seems to lean right and then left. WOW. The city does offer many opportunities for abstract photos. Great job. |

Douglas, I agree with the other comments. I struggle with editing the brightness/color of Daffodils for some reason. I think you nailed it. Thanks for sharing this image. |

I like the crop, making the image balanced. I especially like the looking into the doorway. That being said, I would like to see the inside of the doorway a bit brighter. Making it possibly more inviting. Nicely done Yvonne. |

I do love this image! I would lower the highlights on the mountain a bit. I do fine the bright spots a bit distracting also. Otherwise, it's perfect. Well done. |

Jill, nicely done. It makes me think of the first time I saw my shadow/reflection. I don't know if I would clone all the feathers out, to me it tells a bit more of the story. Also, my thoughts on the white streaks are that since they are reflection of the other birds and are balanced, one on each side, I'm not bothered by them. My opinion. I love it!! |
