I agree with Jose. I like the original color balance. I understand your frustration on the reflections. I'm wondering if a frequency separation might work here ? If you're not aware, the frequency separation process separates (if I remember correctly) the color information and the texture information. I've used it to remove lens flare which is somewhat similar to your problem. |

Very interesting image. Lots to look at. I agree with Kirsti about the crop up. That also would take you to a more or less 1:1 ratio that might enhance the graphic mood of this image. Can you open of the shadows any to see more in some of the darker spaces ? |

I'm a little confused looking at this image. My problem is the steel across the bottom left corner. From your image, I don't see a way you could have shot this differently without losing the train. I would probably try the remove tool on that section. I think it would work well since there is only sky behind. I might also try to bring out the train a little, maybe open the shadows, as I see it as the main subject and it is dropping a little toward the background. |

I'm with the group on this one too, agreeing that in general I like to keep the reflection but I like the crop a little better. Personally, I would brighten the mothers eye a little. With that side of her face in shadow it gets lost and I tend to read her as a blue blob and not a bird. |

I agreed with Jose, the original was a little flat. Your re-edit is much better. I like the color version as well. Looks like you could get the detail back in the dome also. I feel that the left side leans in a bit at the top. I'd probably play with the skew and see how that looked.

Thanks all. Good point. I could have gone from 98mm to something less using the 24-120. So many lights, I missed that edge. As for the water. Yes it surprised me with a 25 sec exposure. I'm wondering if it has something to do with most of the light coming from the bridge and the city more or less low and across the top of the water ??
