Yes, I like that as well. I sometimes include too much to give a sense of location rather than concentrating on the subject. |

Thanks, My wife has relatives in Slovakia. May have to put this on the list for the next time we visit.

Yes that helps. I'm with you on the texture and it contrasts well with the sharpness of the coat rack. I agree on the screw holes. Sometimes I get carried away with removing "distractions" and end up changing the story

This is very reminiscent of the Palouse in Washington state, one of my favorite landscape locations. What part of the Czech Republic is this ? There are lines and forms, curves and triangles everywhere in this image. The image has clarity in the foreground and dissolves nicely in the haze to the background. I don't mind the wires and poles, they are dark and follow the landscape, however if I were to print this 4 feet wide to hang behind my sofa, I'd probably remove them. I might clone out the very top of the trees that are trying to escape the top center of the image. Very nice image. |

Nice capture. I see the face right away. Sometimes these things escape me. The image feels a little flat to me. Maybe some mid tone contrast ?

I'm a fan of single trees. Nice job blending the sun into the image. It would have been nice if the one zebra was not intersecting the tree trunk. The birds add another interest point. I might try dodging the zebras and foreground slightly. Nice image.

This image captures the feeling of the late afternoon. Although the trees somewhat obscure the Mission, they are well placed and lead you to the building. This captures the impression of the location without being a been there, saw that image. I might try to darken the buildings to the left to keep the viewers eye away from them. Well done. |

Very nice. This blends the real and the surreal. I even see a third shadow to the right of center. I would probably clone out the two black dots lower left, possibly the black dot/lighter spot right shoulder of the center shadow. I might also consider removing the four old screw holes near the coat rack (maybe, maybe not, I'd have to play that that change). Simple, thoughtful, good tonal values. |
