Mervyn, Good thought. I often try to get images without people, but I think making the person larger would change the whole feeling of the image. It will be worth a try and I'll have to "stretch" him to fit. I'm traveling for the next several days and I'm not sure if I can try this before the end of the month. |

Jose, this is a very unique scene, a place I'm sure not many people have visited. I think Bob's suggestions were right on and helped the image a lot. |

Mervyn, I always try to get an image of the live oaks or other trees making a passage way and forcing your eye to the subject. I've tried many times to get an interesting image of Spanish moss and only have one image that I like at all. At least for me, it is a very difficult shot to get. I agree with Bob's suggestions particularly toning down the mottled sun on the driveway |

Bob, I felt that the fore ground was a little too bright. I cropped in on all sides, leaving the firefighter roughly on a 1/3 line to focus more on him and his action. I added a Gradient form the bottom up to about where his shovel handle disappears into the smoke and set it to multiply at 30%. I then dodged the fire to brighten those areas somewhat. |

I take a lot of photos of windows and doors both in abandoned and not. There is always for me an attraction and a mystery. Who made the X's ? Was it purposeful ? I agree with Bob. I would try some additional mid-tone contrast ("S" curves adjustment) to try to give the image a little more "pop" and perhaps a levels adjustment to bring down the darks |

This has a great story. There is action in the sausage that is drooping from the cook's hand over the grill. I agree with Bob on the upper left corner. I also find some of the small mostly white lights that look to me like reflections in the glass above the cook and the little blue one in the bread on the right. I probably would have removed the white spots (snow ?)on the buyers jacket also. I feel that the capture is so good that it almost looks posed. |

Here is another version with the hot spots removed and cropped up from the bottom. I also removed some lights (?) from the back wall and ceiling |

This version has the bright spots darkened somewhat and a content aware fill may be the option to try next. I think you're right on the foreground also. |
