Thanks for the comments. I used LR Detail Luminance 60, Color 21, and sharpening 39, other than that, no noise reduction. As I look at this, I see your problem with sharpening. In addition to the feathers, there is dark halo most visible below the neck, but also some above. I agree on the bright stem as well.

Beautiful child and very nice image. I think the dots on the background made that object too interesting to avoid and removing the dots made a big difference. I would like to not see the bunch of the blanket at the left edge, but agree that you need the room for her to look into and a simple crop would then cut the bottom off of the bag. As for enchanted, I think it fits the category perfectly. |

BTW, I agree on the earring and its highlight. I think it would be a very different image without that.

Great catch. The B&W treatment works well with this image. As mentioned, her hat provides a nice frame for her face. I don't think I'd try to smooth the texture, but I might burn in the hat a little bit. |

My first thought was "what is going on here" Taking out the strings added some mystery to the image and an incentive to look more deeply into the image. As is, I have to wonder what's holding these up ... I suppose there could be a very fine line that couldn't be seen. You were able to avoid any overlaps |

Nice catch. I think wing position is critical in birds in flight, and catching one head on is always tricky. Good focus, dof, exposure and crop. The exposure was just slow enough to get a little motion blur on the edges of the wings. I agree with removing the spot at the top left and I might go one step further and remove the other little spots (rain ??) |

Another example of getting good images from an iPhone. I think I prefer this in B&W although the color image works as well. Aside from the halos, I might open the shadows in the trees on the left hill and burn in the four spots of snow on the right mountain. Great mood and the leading lines help |

You've caught the action well. With the side view, you avoid the problem of stopping the rotation of the propeller that you might have with a more frontal view. There is a story here. This is the "Missing Man Formation" The lone plane banks and climbs toward the heavens while the rest of the formation carries on. Often seen at air shows or when a pilot or leader passes away. This formation always stirs the emotions as does this image. |
