86 Aug 24 Reply Wow! Just wow!

I frequently forget to check the edges which is probably why it jumped out at me!

86 Aug 24 Reply Thanks so much, Kieu-Hanh. I wish I'd been thinking of all those things as I was composing shots. I will try to keep them in mind as I head back to the beach (a different one) this week. Aug 12th
86 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Ruth. There were lots of birds. I was initially taking photos of the waves, then realized the birds added interest. Took all different images of differing amount of birds, but this was most pleasing. Aug 12th
86 Aug 24 Reply Thanks, Steven. Had I been spending a few hours on the beach rather than just strolling along in street clothes, there might have been a chance of me getting lower. I don't mind getting sandy if I can rinse off, but yeah, at this age, the getting up could be a problem.

I'm going to be at the beach this week. If I'm lucky enough to find some birds, I might try to get down and dirty in the sand.

86 Aug 24 Reply Thanks. I took many shots of the waves, some with birds, some without birds. More birds, less birds. This one was the most pleasing in the end. Maybe because of the odd number of birds? Aug 12th
86 Aug 24 Comment Is this flower as huge as it looks? Interesting photo of an interesting bloom, something I'd never known about.

Did you crop what was around it, hence the dimensions of the photo?

86 Aug 24 Comment Ha ha. All the fans have left.

I love the different stages of development. It's often hard to get that without the full flower being past its bloom so the timing on this capture is perfect. But it appears that the full flower is cut off a little on the left?

Great color. Great sharpness.

86 Aug 24 Comment The photo of the dog is great. Very expressive. But I agree with the others that the toes and bit of collar/leash are a little distracting. Had you not edited out the leash, I don't think the leash would have been too distracting, if you removed the toes. Aug 12th
86 Aug 24 Comment I agree that the subject of this photo appears to be the audience. I like the way the audience curves around the edge of the photo.

Even though the audience is in my mind the subject, I wish you hadn't cut off that little bit of guitar case from the bottom of the shot. But that might have required that the shot be a wider view that could take away the impact.
