Thanks, Pat. Perhaps that's what I was thinking. |

My Sicilian husband lives for prickly pear season.
I wish I could remember my thinking as to why I croppsed a little. I liked the original as well. |

Without the ceiling it's a totally different photo. But I think the ceiling creates a tunnel which adds to the feeling of tornado damage. |

What a lovely photo. I love the light bouncing off the snow. Am curious what the unedited photo looked like. |

I didn't think of the coloring of the leaf. Thanks for pointing that out. |

I agree with Steven's comments. Great subject captured well but I'd love to see this with less of a blur so you don't blur the sides of the skirt. I'd also be curious to see what the original photo with no edits looks like. |

I appreciate that there's space on both sides of the web, that the web doesn't fill the frame. When opened to full screen, the top of the web is clearly visible. I know when trying to capture a web, it's essential to work with the light to get the web at its best advantage. I also like the pop of color from the flower in the background. |

Yikes! You must be so grateful there was no more damage. Knowing the story, I can see how the photo represents devastation (foliage slightly out of focus) and hope (the color of the sky). Glad that your neighbors were just as lucky. |

What a great opportunity to participate in a portraiture workshop such as this one. The light is perfect. |

Thanks. Agree it's the contrast of the colors that are the strength of the photo. |
