Still nailing those train images - eh, John? Timing was everything here. The smoke from the locomotive gives the viewer that mysterious feeling and the framing with the bridge keeps the subject in the image.
Only thing I found missing was Harry Potter :)
Glad I got a chance to stop by. . . |

Glenn, another Rudd Classic! Your areas of expertise continue to expand. I always wanted to shoot at this place but could not get it into my travel plans.
I like the exposed claws as it tells me he is ready for anything that comes his way. As John mentioned his facial expression shows his level of concentration. The surrounding foliage adds to the story.
Miss the group. . . |

I like it, Sheila. You handled the background well so it does not take away from the loon. The rippling reflection is interesting and I feel the bird is well done considering your shooting location. |

Your decision to share this as a B&W adds to the character. She is one tough-looking woman! I especially liked the hands and the cigar.
I would have liked to have this portrait taken by moving slightly to the right to avoid the dark dinnerware as I think it competes with the woman.
Excellent character study |

For me there are THREE levels/elements in your photograph. There is the foreground with the amazing reflection at the shoreline; next, we have the lighthouse and the bank of lights on that island which provides a middle; and the back is fully supported by that incredible moon,
Well captured. |

Like your thinking here - those yellow flowers among a sea of green call for my attention. I think those flowers could be more dramatic with an increase in contrast. |

I probably would have taken the tongue sticking out personally :)
I like the angle you chose and the little bit of red (tongue and collar)to capture our interest. Yes, that blurred background helps greatly |

Not hard in "burst mode." One of the seven usually has the muzzle fire. |
