Great seascape, Glenn! Peggy's cove has been the subject of many photographers - but I like where you were standing and what was on your card. Your angle takes me through the water and out into the ocean. The structures on both sides keeps me meandering on the water. |

I prefer Peter's B&W with just a bit of opening up those shadows. To me the colorized version has too many areas where this is a lack of separation - such as her face and the hair; the background and her sweater; all avoided in B&W |

Marisa, you definitely got the warm orange glow of the sunrise. Once you have this shot, now start to look for areas of distractions - the sunspot in the water, the leaning building, etc. Some of these can be resolved in post-processing. You may consider opening up the shadows on those buildings. I ran it through a few tweaks - cropping it to take out the partial island (?) in the foreground; opened up the shadows in the buildings; straightened the leaning buildings; and even managed to eliminate most of the sunspot thru cropping. I spent about three minutes on this. |

John, as has been stated numerous times, when photographing another's work, one has to find an interesting angle or tweak it so the shot of the artwork is unique. I find this a grab shot of someone's work. I see nothing unusual about this. |

Definite wall hanger, Sheldon. I was at the North Rim several years ago and have experienced the trek to get to the landscapes! Those winding roads can be tricky before sunrise!
I liked the layering within the scene! Your colors are exceptional. I feel the foreground gives the viewer some place to set our eyes before leaping into the canton! |

Definitely a plus when you can explain the image in more detail. Thanks for responding. Did you join SBCC this year? A stellar group of presenters |

Joe, there is something "off" with this image. Without a detailed explanation of what this is, I can only assume. . .
First of all, it appears to be a boat resettled on the water (composite).
Secondly it is dropped in dead center.
Lastly, it does not appear to be sharp on my screen. |

Thanks, Peter. I do see the blue color cast and the brighter-than-normal branch. I toned that down as well as the orange foliage. Yes, that was a man and his dog at the far end. Think this is a better view. . . |
