17 Mar 21 Comment Sheldon, a most interesting shot! I find it a challenge to go back and revisit some earlier captures - especially with the vast improvement in our software. I agree with Peter on those people on the right - more of a distraction. Also, i might consider darkening the walled area around the donkey to give it further separation. 17 Mar 21 Comment Peter, your capture adds a lot of mystery to the story. When she bent those slats, the viewer was allowed into the image. I like the shadows that were cast on her face and body. The background furthers the mystery for me. And, finally, there's the facial expression - looks very nonchalant to me. Well done! Mar 13th
17 Mar 21 Comment Joe, a wonderful setting. I liked the layers starting with the sand prints, the waves, and the clouds. I played with this in two ways - first I cropped out some of the beach on the left and then ran it through a NIK filter for more detail and contrast. your thoughts. . . Mar 11th
17 Mar 21 Comment I did an entire series of similar shots and called them, "Car-tifacts." All too often it is nearly impossible to shot photos of the cars with all of the car fiends strolling around. So I went for details within the vehicles. Without your description, I would have had a difficult time identifying what this was. The blue surrounding the chrome hood lock (?) does help to bring out the chrome. Mar 11th
17 Mar 21 Comment Colorful is an understatement! We have several of these set-ups around Cape Cod and they are always fun to photograph. Just a thought but I might be tempted to crop out the screen door on the far right - this would give the viewer a full view of colorful buoys. Mar 11th
