I think there is more in the color image. The rust against the greens and the blue sky adds interest and contrast. |

I liked the angle you posted, your decision to go B&W and the composition. Peter seemed to hit upon all of the positives and i agree with his take.
Perhaps a more appropriate title would allow the viewer into what could be the man's dilemma. "Tattoo or No Tattoo. . ."
Overall, it's well done! |

Hey Glenn - knock it off! Is there a genre where you have some mediocre images??? This is another definite wall hanger! The lighting is spectacular on the rocks, the lighthouse, and in the sunset. I have tried this angle several times only to be frustrated by the late comers who have little or no respect for those of us who got there early and set-up. I did not see any mention of other photographers. |

Joe, the Sunflower Farm has produced numerous opportunities for great photography over the years. And, the ice cream wasn't too bad a pleasant distraction. That said, this image is lacking a focal point. The cattle are almost blended into the background, very little definition to separate them. I have a similar take on the sunflowers - there is some definition in the foreground but then it drops off dramatically in the middle area. And, yes, the sky is a major distraction - white attracts the viewer and you want us looking elsewhere. |

Peter, My bet is Mother Nature wins out. At least that's the usual outcome around these parts. For me there is a lot of dead space in this photo. Could you have said the same with a tighter crop, almost square? Also, the foreground appears out of focus on my screen. |

John, for me this image needs something to grab my attention. What color was the shed as the mono choice doesn't give it much pop. The clouds did add some interest but in my opinion not enough to carry the image. |

Beautiful setting, Bev. High interest with the majority of the image about the church - you kept the locals and tourists at a minimum. If you are planning on keeping the couple on the left in the frame, perhaps open up some of the shadows - or, take them out. As Stephen mentioned, the skies really help to pop the structure. I don't agree with him on keeping the convergence, I'd straighten it out, especially if going into competition with it. Well done, my friend. . . |
