Thanks, Peter. Here is a rough remake of "Rebound" with your suggestion |

Ah, back with your Costa Rica birding, eh? Wonderful colors in the toucanet! It is certainly competition-worthy. Perhaps, a tighter crop to eliminate that lone leaf or clone it out and enter this in open. just that single leaf is a distraction to me. I found it competing for my attention. |

I, too, have been out and about with my macro lens in hopes of finding some hidden treasures - nothing of note yet.
I did find the overall image almost a monochrome with just a hint of black. The yellow in the bee competes with the yellow in the flower and the yellow/green in the petals (?). There was not enough separation in the tones for my liking. Maybe a tighter crop would enhance the story? |

"Having some kinda fun, Peter?" You may have a future prototype for some car company here! Looks as if the guy is trying to relive his youth with this sports car. I do appreciate all you did to finish the image. I think you got all you could from this. |

Pretty ordinary squirrel. . . However, you did manage to get great detail throughout it. Also, having it sitting among its environment does tell a story. Perhaps too much foreground takes away some of its impact. Crop just above the greenery at the bottom? |

Handled the background well as it is not only blurred out but the color green adds to the impact of the bird. I see where where Dick thought the darker plumage could use a boost from shadows. May I add a little darkening of the light streak on the lower left as my eye is drawn to it. |

Dick,
Baaaad pun - "obviously having a ball!" Low fan turnout as it was Girls' JV and I was shooting into the visitor's stands. Many more around me on the home side |
