We were there the following year. Such a spectacular event. Certainly a must-see for anyone with a camera! |

Glenn, a very timely capture of a double rainbow over the beautiful rocks of Arches! My rainbow in Moab ended at the motel where I was staying - not as dramatic as yours! I could not decide about the horizon line so I did some adjustments to it. Also, I used the detail extractor in NIK to pull a little more from those clouds thus giving a little more punch to the rocks and rainbow. I tried to bring out a little more color in the rainbows with the saturation slider brushed in - should have done a better job but you get the idea. |

Well, Sheldon, I think Quare plaza has a certain ring to it! I do like the crop to the bus but the signage would suffer. Excellent effort all around for handheld and the bike does give us a sense of activity under the overpass. I like it! |

Peter, add me to the amended image as the background was a lot easier on the eyes. Nothing wrong with capturing an image that is not "competition" material. It was a tad busy but I focused on the concerns of the genders - texting vs. mechanical adjustments. I do agree with Dick's assessment about the gender-association so it may find a home in a future category. |

Dick, this brought back pleasant memories of a visit to the Keukenof several years ago - of course, the crowds were unbelievable! A most colorful leading line that unfortunately left me at the bench of weary floral seekers. I did a little bit of cropping and cloning to take them out - not my best effort but you get the idea. I'm guessing you weren't there this year, right?

John, I think your idea for an image was a good one, however the issue was the composition for me. I felt there was not enough of the reflected building to give the "Old/New" some definition. Also, the bright vertical in the new building were a distraction. I did go monochrome and burned down those verticals. |
